Fort Mill – Mrs. Charlotte Criss Bates, 89, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013, at The Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, SC.

 A native of Philadelphia, PA, Charlotte was a daughter of late Andrew and Irene Criss.  She was the widow of William H. Bates of Philadelphia, PA. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, swimming, skiing and travel.   

 Surviving are her two sons, Jeffrey A. Bates, of Fort Mill and William H. Bates II of Philadelphia, PA.
