Waxhaw, NC – Mrs. Cynthia Stone Cope, 56, of 7015 Newtown Road, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at CMC – Union, Monroe, NC.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday, February 15, 2013, at Independent Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy McCarver officiating and Revs. Tim Blue and Daniel Cope assisting. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

A native of Pineville, NC, Mrs. Cope was a daughter of the late Jimmy Paul Stone and Emma Lee Harris Stone. She loved attending Independent Bible Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing crafts and singing. One of her favorite times of the year was Christmas. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving are her husband, Bill Cope; two sons, Jeremy McCarver and Jimmy Paul Cope; four daughters, Paula Cope, Brandy McCarver, Autumn Cope Blackwell and Connie Cope; two brothers, Eddie Stone of Clover and Jimmy Stone of Pineville, NC; one sister, Beth Fields of Clover; and 10 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Independent Bible Baptist Church.
